**Important – Changes to Year 7 Entrance and Exits
Dear Parent / Carer,
In order to ensure the safety and well-being of our Year 7 students we have reviewed the school entrance route and made the decision to close the north-entrance from the start of the next half-term. Therefore, as of Monday 2nd November, Year 7 students will access the Academy site via our Boulevard. The details of these changes are as follows;
Year 7
- Current Year 7 students will now use the Boulevard to access the Academy site. Year 7 students will no longer use the north entrance from the start of the next half term.
- Year 7 students will then make their way around to the Link entrance from the Boulevard via the Komplex gate. As Year 7 students arrive in the morning, they will continue to use the same social space they use now (Assembly Hall).
- Students will also use this route to exit the building. The north entrance will no longer be accessible.
The map included in the letter below outlines these changes.
As ever, we will constantly focus on standards. We want all of our conversations with our students to be about their learning and never about the things that just ‘get in the way’. Please therefore continue to support us with this by ensuring that children are in the academy by 8.20am at the latest (in preparation for 8.25am which is the first lesson), wearing the correct academy uniform and prepared to learn. This includes having with them their school bag and all necessary equipment for the day, including their planner and homework folder.
And finally, we just wanted to say that we could not be prouder of how our Year 7 students have embraced the transition to secondary school. From day one, they have demonstrated outstanding resilience in navigating a new environment, building new friendships and taking on the exciting challenges of a broader curriculum. Their impressive attendance and exceptional work ethic reflect a real dedication to their learning, setting a fantastic foundation for the years ahead. Thank you for your continued support at home as we celebrate their hard work, growth, and brilliant start to secondary school.
