Careers Fair – Thursday 1st May
As part of our careers offer for our students we have organised a Careers Fair for all students in Y9, Y10 and Y11 and their parents which will take place on Thursday 1st May from 4.30-6.30pm.
We will have up to 30 organisations represented, including local colleges, some local universities, apprenticeship training providers and also a number of local employers. Our own CareersWave advisor and local Employability Champion, will also be on hand to offer impartial advice and guidance with regard to Post-16 options as well as adult learning and other job opportunities.
During the evening, students and parents will have the opportunity to browse the stands, chat to representatives from the organisations and collect information about Post-16 /Post-18 options and career options in general.
This is obviously an excellent opportunity for you and your child to explore career pathways. Even if students have already made up their mind regarding their post-16 pathway, they can use this as an opportunity to find out more about college courses and check out alternatives. We would therefore be most grateful if you could encourage your child to make the most of this opportunity and encourage them to attend and also think about any questions they have about their post-16 options.
