SEND Evening – Thursday 5th December
Kirk Balk Academy warmly welcomes you to attend our SEN evening on Thursday 5th December, between 4pm and 6pm.
The evening includes a ‘market stall’ event with colleagues joining us from external agencies who work closely with the school including Careers Wave, TIAG, Compass, Targeted Youth Support, Kooth, 0-19 team, Autism Linx and SENDIASS. This will be an opportunity to find out what additional support they may be able to offer to your child. Refreshments are also available.
Our Bridge, PLC and HUB provisions will be available for you to visit throughout the evening where you can speak to key staff members involved in our SEND provisions.
In addition, there is also an opportunity to meet with a member of staff to review your child’s Individual learning Plan (ILP). Each ILP details the strategies and interventions implemented by staff in order to support students’ learning. Please arrive at reception at the meeting time which you have selected and you will be met by a member of staff who will escort you to the relevant meeting room.
