It is with great pleasure that we are inviting parents into our academy for our STEP 3 Parents’ Evening at Northern Education Trust, Kirk Balk Academy.

I’m sure you will have seen from the recent STEP report; your child may have been identified as requiring an appointment for our Parents’ Evening which takes place on Tuesday 14th April from 4-6pm. You can see this on the STEP report, in the column titled ‘Parents’ Evening’.

A ‘Y’ in this column shows that a teacher has requested an opportunity for us to speak with you. It is strongly advised that if your child has been invited to make an appointment that you follow the guidance attached to this letter to arrange this meeting with your child’s teacher/s.

However, if your child has not been identified as requiring an appointment with a teacher, you may wish to request an appointment with a member of staff regardless. If this is the case, please also follow the guidance provided. If you do not wish to book a parents’ evening appointment, please discard this letter.

Making an Appointment

The school operates an easy to use online booking system called SchoolCloud. This allows you to choose your own appointment times with teachers and have a 5-minute meeting with each of your child’s subject teachers.

Appointments can be made as soon as is convenient. Once you have looked at the guidance, please visit https://netkirkbalk.schoolcloud.co.uk/ to book your appointments. Some teachers teach more than one class, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

If for any reason, you are unable to electronically book in for an appointment please contact a member of our reception team on the phone number at the top of this letter who will be happy to assist you in booking a face to face appointment.
