On Thursday 16th October, Kirk Balk Academy supported Restart a Heart Day to promote CPR training, in partnership with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service. All Year 9 students had the opportunity to participate in CPR training sessions led by volunteers to raise awareness of cardiac arrest and the importance of learning CPR.

The aims of Yorkshire Ambulance is to increase survival rates from out-of-hospital cardiac arrests by teaching CPR to as many people as possible. The students had a fantastic day and we are very grateful to the volunteers from Yorkshire ambulance Service for visiting the Academy and teaching our Year 9 students vital life saving skills.
