Old Trafford Trip scores success with GCSE/BTEC students

In December, 40 of our Y10 GCSE/BTEC students went to Old Trafford to see Manchester United in their Europa League match against AZ Alkmaar. Both teams were 1st and 2nd in their group respectively meaning the match had a competitive edge for which team would ultimately finish top of the group. This meant Man United put out a strong side for our students to see with the likes of Harry Maguire, Juan Mata and Anthony Martial all selected to showcase their talents. They were also lucky enough to see plenty of goals as Man United came out eventual winners, 4-0.

Students enjoyed the view from the famous Stretford end which provided a great atmosphere for them to enjoy. This all added to the matchday experienced at the so called Theatre of Dreams. A huge thankyou to all the staff that attended and parents who came to pick up their children considering the late finish back at school.

Our students had a fantastic time and as always, really were a credit to the school in their attitude and maturity towards such a unique event.
